the symbol of vegetation, bhoma mask on the cremation tower (bade) of the royal cremation ceremony (pelebon) ubud 2008. this gigantic 28.5 meter, 11 ton bade represents the balinese universe. the royal cremation ceremony honors the lives of three members of the balinese royal family and will be held in puri ubud, bali on july 15, 2008. dubbed a ‘celebration of life’, the four-day event begins on july 12 and culminates in the cremation ceremony on july 15, 2008. the last royal cremation held in ubud took place in 1979.Categories & Tags
