carrying by the villagers, the gigantic 28.5 meter, 11 ton cremation tower (bade) through the streets at the royal cremation ceremony (pelebon) ubud 2008. several members of the puri ubud agung royal family are giving commands to raise the spirits of the villagers. the royal cremation ceremony honors the lives of three members of the balinese royal family and will be held in puri ubud, bali on july 15, 2008. dubbed a ‘celebration of life’, the four-day event begins on july 12 and culminates in the cremation ceremony on july 15, 2008. the last royal cremation held in ubud took place in 1979.Categories & Tags
